A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place

Blind aliens with acute hearing power take over the world and slaughter most of the human population. The Abbott family: mother Evelyn, father Lee, daughter Regan (who is deaf), and sons Marcus and Beau, live on an isolated farm at the heart of the forest. They must try thier best to avoid making noise;because the creatures have sharp ears and they attack whatever that makes noises. the family make paths, covered by sand through the wood to avoid walking on crunching leaves, and they use sign language when communicating.

on a typical shopping day, the family goes into a deserted supermarket in town. Lee notices that his youngest son, finds a toy rocket, and he immediately make him put it away because it would make too much noise. When they are getting ready to leave, Regan secretly gives her little brother back the toy, but without its batteries. When they leave, Beau secretly takes back these batteries. While walking back home, Beau presses a button on the toy rocket, which starts making noise. The noise alerts a nearby creature who promptly jumps out of the forest and kills him. This is quiet an emotional and dramatic scene. The family have almost passed the bridge and the little boy is left behind. When he presses the button the family have no choice but to stand still and make no more noise as they are defenseless against the creature.

We cut to Almost a year after Beau’s death. the family has seemingly gone back to normal, with Evelyn several months pregnant. Marcus unwillingly goes fishing with his dad while Regan, upset that she can’t go, visits Beau’s grave. While everybody is gone

While everyone is gone, Evelyn goes into labor. she steps on a nail and loudly drops a picture frame she was holding. She knows that the creatures can run toward the farm anytime. She flips a switch, turning the surrounding lights around the house red as a danger alarm so that other know the house is under attack. She is in a huge amount of labor pain. As she goes upstairs she finds out that one of the creatures entered the house after hearing the noise. Soon after, the alien enters the basement; Evelyn sets an egg timer, distracting the creature and giving herself time to run upstairs. She begins giving birth in the bathtub upstairs as the creature slowly makes its way towards her. Another dramatic scene here as she has to give birth in a bathtub without making any noise. she is pressing her teeth on a towel as she is giving birth. Lee and Marcus, who are back from fishing, notice the red lights and set off fireworks outside the house to create a diversion and drag the creature out of the house.

Regan, seeing the fireworks, runs back to the house. Lee then enters the house and brings the baby and Evelyn into the basement, where had been prepared as a sound proof space for keeping the crying baby. The baby cries, alerting a creature into the basement. This time creature fails to find the source of the sound, but breaks some water pipes. Marcus and Regan go to the top of a silo and light a fire. Meanwhile, Evelyn wakes up in the flooded basement with the creature still inside; she hides behind a waterfront as this creature moves towards her.

Unique screenplay:

This movie’s screenplay is one of a kind from a professional screenwriter’s point of view. It covers about 70 pages of description and no dialogue. It depicted all these emotional scenes between the family members through description, without characters saying a word. Everything is quite clear about characters and how close and supportive they are throughout the silent scenes of the movie.
